Adult Ballet Workshop I: Principles of Ballet Technique
Taught by Sterlin Mosley

This introductory and interactive ballet workshop gives the amateur dance enthusiast a strong foundation and understanding of the principles of ballet technique. Participants will begin by gaining a clear understanding of ballet terminology and the basics steps and physiology of ballet study. Finally students will learn the fundamentals of executing a pirouette and the final class will end with students beginning to dance and jump center floor.

Students will begin each class at the barre learning the principles of ballet technique and properly warming the body to dance more vigorously in the center floor. With this in mind it’s important that participants arrive on time to ensure appropriate warming of the muscles to prevent injury.

Participants will be given a packet with relevant terminology, pictures and information to help aid them in their dance journeys.
